H2 750 value question

Postby mike9812121298 » Mon Apr 03, 2017 4:05 pm

I've been looking at getting a h2 project for some time now. I came across one last night. It's a 1972 h2 750, 14k miles, org owner, been sitting since 78'. There saying the engine is froze. I'll post some pics, he's asking 2,000

That's what I was thinking, I'm going to try and talk him down to 1,000-1,500. He asked if 2,000 would be ok. (Aka) would take less. Would it be suggested to rebuild engine my self or how much does it take to pay someone?

You`ll need somebody to rebuild your crank shaft and possibly a rebore but you should get away with honing the bores and new rings. The strip down and rebuild you could do yourself.

To be honest you are stealing it at $2000 dollars compared to what you`d pay over here. Don`t be greedy pay the $2000 it`s more than a fair price for that bike.

I was looking around the internet trying to find a value on them restored. I found one in cali for 15.5k. One in Texas in bad shape for 4K, there was one at mecum sold in Jan for 9,500. My guess was 10-12 with a running engine.
